As
you know, we are quite selective on the DVD's, books and items we
sell. We really, really have to like a performer before we sell
his or her items.
Wayne
Dobson is such a performer. He is not only a good friend and an
overall nice guy, but he is a true GENIUS. If you have ever seen
him perform life you know exactly what we mean. Three years ago,
we saw him at a convention here in Las Vegas. We laughed so hard
that tears came out of our eyes. Wayne received a standing ovation.
We
are proud to carry some of his pet items. Even though the "DVD
Stuff" recordings are "performance only", there is
a whole wealth of information that will help you to become a better
magician. Wayne shares what he has learned from experience in the

We
received a few of these about one month ago. One of the reasons
we did not post it earlier is because we had not read it.
I (the
webmaster) like to read most of the books we sell, and make sure
that what you will be getting is a quality product. Two weeks ago,
I found time to read this book and I could not put it down.
We
love biographies, and the second part of this book includes Wayne
Dobson's autobiography titled "Star Struck". In it he
describes his career from how he started in magic all the way to
the present day. He has anecdotes from all his travels and the venues
where he worked: television, cruise ships, men's clubs in England,
and much more. Wayne is quite an inspiration. With the power of
his personality, positive thinking and sense of humor, he has able
to overcome obstacles that to others might be unsurmountable. In
spite of his health problems, he still performs and creates magic.
Two weeks ago I had the privilege to see him perform at the Las
Vegas Magic Invitational where he received a standing ovation.
The
first part of this book includes 40 blockbuster tricks that are
technically easy to perform but a quite clever in methodoloy and
psychology. These are from Wayne's professional repertoire. And
yes, if someone did some of these tricks for you, they would FOOL
you. This is great material.

This is a compilation of various TV clips from Wayne's television
series A Kind of Magic - that aired on British television many years
ago. The footage on this DVD has been digitally remastered to produce

it only shows you the performance, this is one of the best DVD's
we have seen in a long time! Because Wayne performed for a live
studio audience with no camera cuts or fancy editing, there is so
much one can learn from his approach in selecting material and methodology.
After every effect, he provides useful commentary as to why he did
the effect, in some cases he explains his method and gives us tips
on the fine details of what made the effect work.
The
details are invaluable because it is through those that one can
tell the level of professionalism and perfection that Wayne was
able to achieve.

Choice

The
wonder worker (that would be you) removes a black wallet from his
pocket, flips it open and reveals three different items: a credit
card, a business card, and a folded banknote. You then hand a spectator
a sealed prediction. A second spectator is invited on stage to remove
one of the items from the wallet (free choice here,) and hide it
away one of his pockets. Once done, he is asked to take another
item and hide it in another pocket. Finally, he removes and hides
the last item in another pocket.
Of
course, you have turned away throughout so that you have no idea
which item is in which pocket. OR DO YOU??? Now, the magic begins.
You are immediately able to name the whereabouts of each and every
item. Not only that, you point out that you actually knew, way in
advance, what the outcome of this strange experiment would be. To
prove it, ask the first spectator to open the sealed prediction.
They read the prediction aloud. It tells exactly which card would
be in which pocket! Wow!

A
self-working instant reset prediction that you will carry everywhere.
It also an ideal way to give out your Business Card.
The
performer places his business card wallet on the table, explaining
that inside is a single business card containing a prediction. He
then proceeds to take his deck of cards and deals a card face up
onto the table one at a time. He explains that the spectator may
call out the word "stop" at any time.
The
spectator can see that all the cards are indeed different as they
are all being dealt face up. Suddenly, the spectator calls out "Stop!"
Let us suppose that the card stopped at was the 8 of Clubs. The
performer slowly opens the wallet with the prediction inside. A
business card will now be seen inside. Partially removing it, the
performer asks the spectator to take it and confirm that it matches
the card they stopped at. INDEED IT IS!
Not
only will you find out just what the an acronym "S.N.A.K.E.S."
stands for, you'll also receive one of the most deceptive business
card wallets in the world and Wayne's well thought-out routine for
this mind miracle!
