Omni
Insta-Lite
by Tony
Clark
At
every convention we attend, there is someone that always comes to
our booth and asks: "Do you carry that little gimmick that
allows you to produce a lit match from under your lapel?" Well,
now we do!
The
Omni Insta-Lite clip is a failsafe gimmick that allows you to produce
a lit match anytime during your act. Need to light a candle, flash
paper, or cigarette? Light the match with the Omni-Insta lite. The
gimmick is slick, thin, and coated with black rubber, which can
be hidden anywhere and ensures that you will produce a lit match
anytime.

Scott
Alexander's SHATTERED
This
is probably the ultimate solution to the "Russian Roulette"
theme.
Effect:
The magician shows a beer bottle and loudly breaks it with a hammer.
The broken bottle is placed on a wooden stand and covered with a
paper bag. Three identical empty bags are added to the first bag,
and they are shuffled around.
At
this point in the routine, neither the audience or the performer
exactly know where the broken bottle is. The performer may be blindfolded
as well.
The
magician asks the audience for their assistance. In other words,
the audience will tell the performer where to slam his hand so that
he will not get cut by the glass. Very dangerous indeed!
The
audience is finally successful as the only remaining bag contains
the broken bottle.
Note
from the webmaster: "I personally tried this routine in six
shows last week. The audible gasp from the audience was enough to
convince me to keep it in my repertoire!"
Effect:
A silk and a small cordial glass of water are shown. The water is
poured from the glass into the closed left fist. The silk is then
pulled through the left hand as the left fingers are slowly opened
palm towards the audience. The liquid has vanished! Both arms are
extended showing the palms of both hands to be empty.
The
glass is then held by its rim between the left thumb and forefinger.
The glass fills back up with the water, however, the water is now
red.
This
is effect is perfect for people that like manipulative magic. It
is not difficult to do and quite different. Included are: The glass,
the silk, and the special liquid gimmick.
We
sell high-quality, made in the USA, Top Hats. These are the typical
black collapsible hats used by magicians all over the world.
We
mostly stock hats in two sizes: 7-1/2 and size 8. These
sizes are slightly larger and are ideal for the Cane to Table when
one uses the hat as a receptacle for props. However, if you need
to, we can have hats made to your custom size and even color. Please
contact us for details.
We
have two types of materials: gross grain and satin.
Gross-grain is a finely ribbed material which is sturdier than the
more delicate satin. Norm likes gross-grain because it it wrinkles,
it is less noticeable on stage and it travels better. Satin is quite
elegant, though.
