This effect was the result of the combined efforts of Okito and Joe Berg. It received first prize in a number of magic competitions.

Effect: The magician removes a small yellow Jewel Box and a silk handkerchief from a larger blue box. He drapes the handkerchief over his arm and opening the Jewel Box, asks spectators to put one or more personal objects into it – like watches, rings, etc. He closes the yellow Jewel Box and sets it down, picking up the larger blue box which is set aside.

The Jewel Box is then placed inside a small rec- tangular red tube which encloses its sides. The handkerchief is placed over the square tube that contains the Jewel Box.

After making a magical pass, the handkerchief is pushed down the center of the tube and pulled out from the bottom. The Jewel Box has vanished!

The tube is shown empty.

The yellow Jewel Box has magically traveled back to the blue box, which is opened to reveal it still contains the personal items that are promptly returned to their owners.

A limited edition of 25 Jewel Boxes was made in 2009. It is unlikely that we will make this trick again. To the best of our knowledge, Okito only made one, which is in the Dr. Robert Albo Collection.
