Houdini
Decal Reproduction
(Available on a 1/2-sheet size!)

We are very excited about this find! A while back, Norm purchased
a "mysterious" Houdini decal from Dr. John Booth. This
decal was given to Dr. Booth by Bess Houdini on October of 1941.
Originally, this decal was intended to be used as advertisement
in glass windows. Decals are very difficult to see due to their
nature. They are printed on a special transfer paper and covered
with a protective sheet that one is only able to remove when the
decal is wet. For this reason, no one had ever seen this image.
A
few days after we purchased it, Norm lacquered a board and applied
the decal to it. The result was astonishing. We were stunned by
the beauty of the image! It is just gorgeous! We also found that
the image is based on a Houdini photograph that we also have in
our collection! (See the composite image on the right)
The original decal measures approximately 8" x 10" and
it now part of the Nielsen Collection. This is a very rare piece.
Apart from this one, we only know of two others. For that reason,
Norm has decided to reproduce this image.
We
are now reproducing this decal image into a 1/2-sheet
poster!
-
Every single detail has been captured, and we are printing the
poster on canvas.
-
The entire image measures 20" x 25".
-
The quality, as with all Nielsen Poster Reproductions, is exceptional.
